Dr. Spencer Blackham
Dr. Blackham attended Brigham Young University for one year before traveling to Mexico for a mission trip with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (y sí, todavía puede platicar en espanol).
After returning and finishing his degree at BYU, Dr. Blackham moved to Illinois to attend dental school at Southern Illinois University.
He participated in the American Student Dental Association and conducted extensive research during his time there, even earning the opportunity to present at the International Association of Dental Research conference in Seoul, South Korea.
He and his wife, Angie, both went on to complete their orthodontic residency at the University of British Columbia for Orthodontic Certificate Training and master’s degree. While in residency, he was again involved in organized dentistry (American Association of Orthodontics and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics) and research.
He chose to investigate the effects of a novel Invisalign feature compared to another treatment alternative for growing children. This led to his deep interest and love for all things related to Invisalign and clear aligner therapy.
Upon completion of residency, he passed the American Board of Orthodontics, a society that prides itself on the highest quality outcomes and deep knowledge of the workings of orthodontics—both scientifically and clinically.
Family and incredible opportunities brought him back to Utah, where he has worked since residency.
His understanding that collaboration leads to improved outcomes has led him to maintain membership with the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, and the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists.
When he isn’t looking at teeth, Dr. Blackham is most assuredly looking at cars. His passion was ignited as a kid playing with Hot Wheels, fueled as a teen valet parking cars, and stoked when his darling wife, parents, and in-laws set him up to drive an exotic car on a race track.
Park City Invisalign
Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists around Park City and Coalville, and it's the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for the next one in the series every one to two weeks as directed by Dr. Blackham.
The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option. Park City Braces

Traditional metal braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They’re made out of metal or ceramic brackets that are affixed to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.
These brackets, wires, and bands work together to apply the gentle pressure that will gradually move the teeth into the positions we want them to be in as long as you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
