Meet Jeffrey R. Sumsion, DMD
Dr. Sumsion has one goal: to provide excellent care to each and every patient while making them feel like a member of the Park City family.
He loves being an orthodontist and has spent years furthering his education to make sure his patients get the best treatment possible in the shortest amount of time.
Background & Education
As a Utah native, he grew up just 45 minutes North of Park City in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree, where he competed on the ski team.
He then continued his education, spending four years at Oregon Health Sciences University dental school, earning his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree.
After dental school, Dr. Sumsion completed an additional year of training at the University of Utah in their hospital residency program. He then attended a two-year program at St. Louis University, where he received his Master of Science and Specialist Certificate in Orthodontics.

At Park City Orthodontics, Dr. Sumsion and the team have the same goal: to provide excellent care to each and every one of our patients and make them feel like family. He’s been part of Park City and the surrounding communities practicing orthodontics since 1993.
Dr. Sumsion loves being an orthodontist. He finds extreme satisfaction in seeing new smiles that increases patients’ self-confidence and changes their lives for the better.
Continuing Education
Our Park City Orthodontics expert makes continuing education the center of his practice. He is constantly learning to use the latest technology, including Damon Braces, Insignia custom braces, Invisalign, mini-screws, and lasers.
He is also a member of the Wasatch Orthodontic Study Club and the Utah Damon Study Club. By attending these classes, Dr. Sumsion ensures you receive the best treatment possible in the shortest amount of time.
